Mrs. Ormond served for 20+ years as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer,
and Executive VP of the GE Capital Structured Finance Group, a $ 20 billion subsidiary of GE, where Mrs. Ormond led a team of lawyers specializing in project and structured finance. Prior to that, Mrs. Ormond was associated with the New York City law firms of Christy & Viener (now Salans) and Cahill Gordon & Reindel, and worked during and after law school in the international law department of Hewlett-Packard Company at its world headquarters in Palo Alto, California, and its European headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Before entering law school, Mrs. Ormond spent several years as a computer and software analyst, designing and writing software for IBM, Computer Dynamics, Inc. of Berkeley, California, and Hewlett-Packard Company. During the past 18 years, Mrs. Ormond has worked as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for a registered investment adviser in New York City and on a consultancy basis on transactional and general corporate matters, including crowdfunding, insurance investments, real estate development, financial services, and product development in the energy sector, for Citigroup, Marsh McLennan, MetLife, Goldman Sachs, and several smaller, private clients. Mrs. Ormond holds an A.B. in Philosophy (analytic) from the University of Michigan (1967) where Mrs. Ormond
was enrolled in the Honors College, a J.D. from Stanford University School of Law (1975),
and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law (1982). Mrs. Ormond is admitted to practice in the States of California and New York. Mrs. Ormond has served on various boards of directors for enterprises in the early stages of development, focusing primarily on financial services.
